Cookie policy
Last updated: 2026-10-10
This page explains which cookies and similar tools (such as browser localStorage) Scovago uses, in line with Art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code, Directive 2002/58/EC and the Italian DPA cookie guidelines of 10 June 2021. Controller: OKSitiweb Torino (privacy@su24.it).
1. In short
- We do not use profiling, advertising or analytics cookies. Ads are contextual (tied to the search) and do not follow you.
- We only use technical cookies, which do not require consent.
- Maps load third-party content (OpenStreetMap, Leaflet) that may set their own tools: we load them only after your consent.
2. What we use
- scovago_sid — technical session cookie. Used to sign in and protect forms (CSRF). Lasts until you close the browser.
- scovago_lang — technical preference cookie. Remembers the language you chose. Lasts 12 months.
- scovago_consent — technical cookie storing your cookie choices (version, consent to third parties, date and a random code). Lasts 6 months, after which we ask again.
- scovago-theme and scovago-ios-hint (localStorage) — remember your light/dark theme and that you have seen the install hint. They stay until you clear them.
- Service worker and app cache — let you install Scovago as an app and open it without a network; they contain only interface files, never your data.
3. Third-party content (only with consent)
- Maps: OpenStreetMap tiles (OpenStreetMap Foundation) and the Leaflet library (unpkg) receive your IP address and browser technical data. If you decline, the map is not loaded and the rest of the site works normally.
4. Managing your choices
You can change your mind at any time with the Manage cookies link at the bottom of every page. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings; some features (sign-in, language) may then stop working.
5. More information
